to become a member of HIGHLAND FARM CSA!
Members of our Highland Farm CSA receive a variety of vegetables, flowers
and herbs throughout a approximate 20 to 24 week growing season. Starting
sometime from the end of May, beginning of June into November, depending
each year on Nature's verities. This large well planned selection of produce
ranges from many varieties of heirloom vegetables, heirloom herbs and
heirloom flowers populated from the bounties of our previous year's seed
gathering efforts and or acquired through the network of heirloom seed saving
societies that Highland Farm has associated with over the past. There is also
various other wholesome natural foods listed on our Additional Shares page
available for those members wishing to add them to their membership share.

Timely harvest updates done each week and monthly newsletters, recipes and
more are emailed to members throughout the season. This along with Internet
access of this information for csa members in our Highland Farm Members
Only section. This section also houses a large on-line library. This additional
informative data and how-to resource, as a  csa member, will be found
valuable. Covering such subjects as the latest research on Diet and Nutrition,
or "How you can do your part in helping to save endangered native open
pollinating, non-hybrid vegetable varieties from going extinct" just to name a
    few.

Members also enjoy direct contact with the farm and as well as various
activities planned during many of the weekly pickups which feature such
things as food tastings that will be taken home from that week's harvest.
Harvest Distribution is weekly and members come right to the farm for weekly
pickup, fun and that direct connection to the production of their food.  We
not only expect, yet encourage that members take a few hours out of their
busy schedule to visit and not just rush in and out during pickup. We hope
that they plan to spend a little time relaxing, sharing, maybe idle conversation
with other members over a cup of coffee or tea, walking our Labyrinth or just
wandering the hills, meadows and woods, taking in the moments of serenity
that they may find in the highlands.

There are during the year various retreats, festivals, workshops and classes
offered that many members have enjoyed in the past.  They have ranged from
celebrating our membership, giving thanks for our nutritious harvest, yoga
classes, children's camp weekends, women's retreat weekends, gardening
workshops and even several weddings. Timely announcements of future
happenings again will be posted for members wishing to receive this
information on our membership announcement email list and available in our
calendar listings on the Members Only Section.

If you have any questions about memberships, please contact us as soon as
possible. Please also note, memberships often fills up quickly. Timing becomes
everything when we try to step in rhythm with what is natural!
